The Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
It is essential for the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) to reject the applications for licensure and suspend the registration, certificate, or license of the licensees or applicants who has a huge tax objection due to the State Board of Equalization (BOE) or Franchise Tax Board (FTB). It is a responsive duty of BSIS to accuse the licensees who appear on either the BOE or FTB’s top 500 tax delinquencies list.
After detecting a licensee or applicant on the tax delinquency list, the licensee or applicant will get 90 days deadline to either enter into a payment program with BOE or FTB or satisfy all outstanding tax obligations. Who will fail to carry out these requirements, his/her license will be suspended or denied until the BSIS receives a release from the BOE or FTB. The form to request a release will be integrated with the primary notice of suspension.
